Jamba Juice Is Trying To Destroy The Earth And Murder Your Loved Ones Including Your Favourite Dog

This was my first winter in Manhattan and to be sure it was a mild one. Not a lot of snow and not too cold.

Relatively.

The management at the Jamba Juice at Broadway and 86th seem to think our mild winter is an invitation to blast the heat inside the store and leave the doors open all day wasting a shitton of energy. Pretty bad for a company that pushes its “green” image all the time. This isn’t a one-time occurrence either. That door is open all the time. Today it was -2C and it was wide open. It was open yesterday too and in the summer it was open with the air conditioning leaking out and making the sidewalk nice and cold.

It’s not a big deal to close the doors. If someone makes up their mind to spend $6.50 on a Jamba Juice smoothie I seriously doubt having to go to the trouble of opening a door is going to break the deal.

  1. I’m going to chalk that one up to the particular calibre of employee at that location and not to any kind of corporate policy. Because, let’s face it, I’m not even going to pretend to consider a boycott. (I STILL LOVE YOU, JAMBA JUICE!)

  2. Get a room, Tara and Jamba Juice!

  3. Yeah, at least they didn’t close for three hours in the middle of the week. Fuck the ‘Bucks.
