It’s 3:30am and I’m exhausted. But I will now never get to sleep. Holy shit.
Drag always wins.
It’s not just that you were a nurse that I love so much. It’s the kicky pose. Regular Nurse would not have gotten my vote, but Sassy Nurse kicks Spock’s ass.
The carefully applied makeup puts it over the top.
Also the sneakers. But I voted for Chubby Spock.
No way. For me, Spock’s eyebrows are the real winner.
I have to vote for the nurse. It’s the only photo ever where you look like Mom.
If the dress had been shorter, slutty nurse would have won hands down. Oh wait… slutty nurse is winning. Buncha weirdos.
While Mathra is duly impressed by your tricorder, I went with Sassy Nurse because a kid certainly has to be sassy to pull off drag at that age!
Heh, I’d love to take credit for it but pretty much any costume or decent science fair project was really my sister’s doing (yoursister in the comments). Unfortunately we don’t seem to have any photos of the year I questionably went out as a dirty Mexican bandito.
Wow. Your childhood photos are making me believe that Canada’s weirder than I ever thought possible. I used to think it was just sleepy and moose-strewn; now I’m actually afraid.
It’s always the quiet ones.
I agree, Elena. My Canadian friends told me Halloween was just an Americans-are-shills-for-candy-companies farce. Were they pulling my leg, or were these costumes non-Halloween related?
While I agree with many commenters that a young man in drag is a wonderful thing (and the sassy pose really sells it), the verisimilitude of the Spock costume is so admirable that I had to vote for it.
I have a pic of dirty Mexican bandito….the one with Kelly as Indiana Jones, right? I’ll see if I can find it!!!
Uh oh.
