Left Mammoth Lakes and the Yosemite area today. Instead of driving through the park again I drove around it via the Sonora Pass. Yikes. Those are some bendy, curvy, up and down white knuckle roads. I would not want to be anywhere near them in winter… or rain… or when it looks at you funny.
Pretty much drove right to Frenso with only two stops. First was in Turlock to capture a rather amazing building that looks like a bulldozer just off the highway and the second was the Air Castle Museum where dozens of warplanes from tiny fighters to giant superfortress bombers bake in the sun. I’m so not that person who loves military stuff but it was early and it was a fun photo walk if nothing else.
