The Quest For Bacon Salt

by Glark on December 16, 2007

Has anyone in Manhattan crossed paths with Bacon Salt? I’m curious to try it but the Bacon Salt site says the nearest retail store that carries it is in Brooklyn which I understand is about 270 miles away.

I bought this for my brother, so I have it but haven’t actually tried it yet.

I would tell you where I bought it (somewhere online) but my usual gmail account was hacked last week and I’m (anxiously) waiting to be allowed back into it.

I assume you don’t want to buy it online because the shipping is more than the product, right? Though you could always ask for the “Twelve Days of Stocking Stuffers” for Christmas. Better yet, create a wish list on Amazon. If it worked for a Roomba, it’s sure to work for the less pricey Bacon Salt.

Thanks Meg. I looked it up on Amazon but unfortunately they don’t sell the original just-bacon ones (and they only sell in 3-packs).

This place sells it (and it’s in stock) for $7.48 — shipping included — which is two dollars less than the Bacon Salt website. It’s still three dollars more than just buying it from the store, but since you seem to have a fear of Brooklyn, it might be worth it.

Excellent! Many thanks! I don’t fear Brooklyn — I was just there a few days ago — but I have good intel that the one place in Brooklyn listed on the Bacon Salt site is in fact sold out of Bacon Salt.
