We had a little shindig at our place a couple weeks ago and our good friend Crispy came with 3 off-off-off brand sodas he bought from a gypsy on a dark street corner. We only cracked one open that night. It was Coconut Soda and it was just awful as all things with, made from, or designed to taste like coconut are. Coconut shells are nature’s way of doing you the favour of discouraging you from eating what’s inside.I only recently got around to sampling the other two sodas, “Good-O Kola Champagne” and “Inca Kola: The Golden Kola”. What you need to know about these two is that Inca Kola tastes like a lightly carbonated glass of warm banana popsicles and Good-O Kola Champagne tastes like someone melted a whole bowl of halloween candy on a barbecue and cut it with a cream soda slurpee. It makes Splenda seem sour by comparison. So the lesson here is pay the extra 39 cents for the colas with a C.
